SenseLab runs a hosted connector that Claude and ChatGPT connect to directly. You sign in once, approve what the connector may do, and your memory is available in the conversation from then on. This is different from MCP Setup, which configures a server on your own machine for coding agents like Cursor and Claude Code. Use this page for the chat apps, that one for your IDE.
The connector URL is https://mcp.sense-lab.ai/mcp. That is the only value you need, and it is the same for everyone — there is no per-account URL to look up.

Connect Claude

Claude supports custom connectors on the web and desktop apps.

Open your connector settings

In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors, then choose Add custom connector.

Paste the SenseLab URL

Enter https://mcp.sense-lab.ai/mcp. Leave any client ID or secret fields blank — SenseLab registers Claude automatically, so there is nothing to copy across.

Sign in and approve

Claude opens a SenseLab sign-in page. Sign in with the account whose memory you want Claude to reach, then review the permissions described in What you are approving and confirm.

Check the tools arrived

Back in Claude, the connector should list its available tools. If it shows none, use the connector’s Refresh control once — some clients cache an empty tool list from before you finished signing in.

Connect ChatGPT

Open connector settings

In ChatGPT, go to Settings → Connectors and add a connector by URL.

Paste the SenseLab URL

Enter https://mcp.sense-lab.ai/mcp and continue.

Sign in and approve

Approve the permissions on the SenseLab consent screen.

Check the tools arrived

If ChatGPT reports no actions for SenseLab, refresh the connector once. The tools load on the first refresh after the connection completes.
Both apps move these settings around from time to time. If the menus above do not match what you see, search their own help for “custom connector” or “MCP server” — the URL you paste does not change.

What You Are Approving

The consent screen asks for three permissions. In full: Authorization uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. SenseLab never sees your Claude or ChatGPT credentials, and the tokens it issues are stored only as hashes — a copy of our database yields nothing anyone could replay.

What the Connector Can Reach

A connector approved through the consent screen above gets SenseLab’s full surface: 80 tools, covering memory, search, agent identity, rooms and their documents, room discovery and access requests, negotiations, memory consolidation and decision traces. This is deliberately more than a pasted API key gets. A connection configured with an API key — the pattern used by Cursor in URL mode and by builder platforms — sees eleven tools only:
The reason is consent. A connection someone set up months ago should not silently gain the ability to delete a room because we shipped a release. The wider surface goes only to connections whose owner was shown it and agreed.

Disconnecting

Remove the connector in the app you added it to — Settings → Connectors, then remove or disconnect SenseLab. That revokes its access immediately, and no further memory is sent. Two things to know:
  • Disconnecting does not reach backwards. Memories already sent are part of conversations that provider holds. Delete those conversations in that app if you want them gone.
  • Your memories stay in SenseLab. Disconnecting removes an app’s access; it does not delete anything. To delete the memories themselves, see Data deletion.
You can also ask us to revoke a connection for you at hello@sense-lab.ai, which is useful if you have lost access to the app that holds it.

Troubleshooting

Use the client’s Refresh control on the connector once. Both apps can cache an empty tool list captured before the sign-in finished, and they do not always re-ask on their own.
The connector’s access has been revoked, or the account it was approved against was removed. Remove the connector and add it again.
That connection is authenticated with an API key rather than through the consent screen, so it has the eleven tools listed above. Add it as a connector by URL instead, and approve it.
Check you signed in with the account that belongs to the room. Room membership follows the account, so approving the connector against a different one shows you that account’s rooms instead.
